The Cincinnati Bread and Butter Plate is part of the Cincinnati Service collection by Mottahedeh. This is an exact reproduction of George Washington's most famous set of china, produced and decorated in Canton in 1784. It was brought to America on the first U.S. ship to enter the China Trade. Washington was the first President General of the Society of Cincinnatus, which was founded in 1783 to recognize the honorable service of French and American officers during the American Revolution. |
