Botanical illustrations applied to porcelain were made famous at the Chelsea factory in 18th century England. Sir Hans Sloane, physician to King George III, commissioned paintings of newly arrived Chinese plants in the Chelsea Physic Garden. Our botanical service is decorated with adaptations of these paintings.
