In ancient China the dragon was a symbol for the emperor, bestowing good fortune and protection to the righteous. The period of the emperor K'ang Hsi (1662-1722) was one of the high points in the developements of Chinese blue and white wares, and it is from a K'ang Hsi porcelain orginal that Mottahedeh pattern draws inspiration. This classic design will bring a touch of royalty to every table and can be used alone or mixed and matched with Blue Canton or other blue and white services.
